The working principle and types of oil press
Oil press is a widely used pressing equipment with the following characteristics: simple structure, small volume, easy maintenance, diverse raw materials, high oil yield, continuous processing, short working time, and the ability to perform small-scale processing.
Working principle of oil press
The spiral oil press mainly utilizes the principle of spiral extrusion, which compresses the oil crops under high temperature and pressure through the rotating spiral shaft and the inner wall of the pressing chamber, and the oil is squeezed out from the cells. The screw oil press can operate continuously with high efficiency and diversified oil materials: sunflower, rapeseed, olive, coffee beans, perilla, soybeans, peanuts, etc. have good oil yield.
The hydraulic oil press mainly utilizes the principle of hydraulic pressure. By injecting high-pressure liquid into the oil press chamber, oil crops such as peanuts, soybeans, and walnuts are squeezed out of the cells under the action of high-pressure liquid. The hydraulic oil press is easy to operate and has a high oil output rate.
The extraction method oil press mainly utilizes the principle of solvent extraction of oils and fats. By injecting solvents into oilseed crops, the oils and solvents are fully mixed, and then the solvents are recovered through processes such as evaporation and separation to obtain oils and fats. The extraction method oil press has a high oil yield, but there will be a certain amount of residual solvent that needs further treatment.
Performance comparison of oil press equipment
- Oil yield:
Different types of oil extraction equipment have different oil production rates. Generally speaking, the oil output rate of hydraulic oil presses is relatively high, reaching over 90%; Spiral oil presses come second, reaching 60% -70%; The extraction method oil press is lower, generally around 40% -50%. However, it should be noted that the oil yield of different types of oil crops also varies. - Energy consumption:
The energy consumption of different types of oil extraction equipment varies. Generally speaking, hydraulic oil presses have lower energy consumption because they rely on hydraulic principles for operation; The screw oil press relies on the rotation of the screw shaft for operation; The energy consumption of the extraction oil press requires the use of a large amount of solvents. - Summary
